On April 23, 2026, the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Kazpatent) held an online seminar on the topics “Patenting of Inventions and Utility Models” and “Requirements for Filing Trademark Registration Applications” for the coordinators of the national Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISC) networks and the staff of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University (hereinafter – the University).
The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) has been a participant in the TISC project, coordinated by Kazpatent, since September 15, 2025, and is actively developing intellectual property-related services. Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University joined the TISC project in April 2026 and has been actively participating in training seminars, demonstrating a strong interest in enhancing its knowledge and competencies in the field of intellectual property management.
Representatives of Kazpatent delivered presentations on the patenting of inventions and utility models and provided detailed guidance on the requirements for filing trademark registration applications. During the seminar, participants actively engaged in the discussion and asked numerous questions.
The seminar was aimed at strengthening cooperation between Kazpatent and the national TISC networks of the Astana International Financial Centre and Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University.
